About Me

The birth of my daughter 2008
I am a radical birth advocate.
I love childbirth, and I love to support women when it comes to bringing their children into the world.
I believe that childbirth is not a medical condition, but an act of nature. The more a woman becomes empowered with herself, and her body the better her birth experience will be.
With modernized medicine, intuition has been getting put on the back burner, and intervention has been thrown into the mainstream.
As a doula my goal is to not only reach out my compassion to pregnant and birthing women, but to educate and support women to "bring birth back" into the mainstream. I want to not only empower women to embrace childbirth, but to be excited, not scared of birth.
I believe that fear triggers pain, and with pain comes a spiraling effect of intervention and uncertainty. While childbirth is no easy feat... the power of positive thinking, support and knowledge goes a long way.
I do, however, support all birth choices. Your body your birth, you deserve full support.
